Almond biscuits

The girls went on and on about how hungry they've been today.  It didn't seem to matter what I fed them they were still hungry so we decided to made some biscuits.  They were so delicious I thought I'd put the recipe in here and it kept them quite until tea.

Almond biscuits

50g butter
25g sugar
pinch of salt
50g ground almonds
75g wholemeal plain flour

Preheat oven to 200c

Cream the butter and sugar together add the almonds and pinch of salt and mix in thoroughly.

Stir in the flour until it's a ball of dough.

Dust a clean surface down with flour and a rolling pin too.  Roll the dough until it's about half a centimetre thick and cut with a cutter it should make about 12 biscuits in all.

Put in the oven for 8 minutes, then leave to cool on a cooling rack for a few minutes then they should be ready to eat!
